| In Ethiopia there is a growing demand for Linux and Open Source Software. Currently, the first private colleges are starting to teach Linux; the Universities give the first courses; and also administration and companies are thinking about using Linux and Open Source Software.
In order to bring all these things together, the Open Source Information Center is the thing to do. If you want to know about Linux and Open Source Software in Ethiopia, this is the place where you can get information, meet people that help you, even give you a copy of a distribution (or sell you an official packet) and software.
If this happens, then Linux and Open Source Software is no longer "invisible", but a real and appealling solution for everyone.
We found an excellent person to work as the founder of the OSIC in Addis Ababa. What we need is a moderate sum (approximately 1000 EUR per month, about 4 good PC with monitors, a color printer).
